Default LS1 Airboat

Just thought I would share my LS1 airboat build incase anyone else is interested. The boat came with a GM crate 383 that almost lasted 15hrs. COD, rod through block.

On with the repower. Its a 2003 truck 5.3 that was purchased with factory wiring harness and ecm.

Next i removed the factory Wiring harness from engine to remove wiring that is not needed for my build. Here is a pick of the leftovers.

Finished wiring harness. Now with throttle cable TB and IAC and TPS. Removed DBW. Bought a 2003 Express Van ECM to operate the IAC.

I installed a new timing chain, oil pump, and Comp cam kit# K54-426-11.

When engine was complete, the belt drive was bolted up

The engine is now mounted on the boats engine stand. Now for the tuning and testing. I will get some more pics and possibly a video when it hits the water. I am thinking the LS will put out more power than the (400hp) 383cdi.
