Default 4.8 installing a ls6 CAM push rod question

I have an 02 4.8 and I am throwing a 02 ls6 cam in it.
I got new springs, but some people said I need a different length pushrod?
Is this true, or can the stock 4.8's work?

You probably will need longer pushrods like 7.425 but you'll need to measure to verify that.

Measure, it takes a few minutes.. Then you can decide on how much preload you want...

Plus you can learn a little about your engine, no guessing!

Measure. I put that cam in a 5.3, with .03 milled heads and needed a 7.35 pushrod. Get the $20 checker from summit or jegs ect

I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 extended cab it has the GEN 3 4.8 5.3 lr4 with 862 heads it’s a 4.8 it has a 4L 60 E transmission rear wheel drive automatic I snapped my piston rod and half so I started rebuilding it I purchased a Elgin stage 3 sloppy cam kit Valve kit i’m pretty sure I’m gonna need upgraded push rods and I also need advice on a torque converter

It would be better if you started your own thread.
