Default PRC Dual Spring Seals

Hey guys I've read some people have problems with the seals so i want to get them on right. I have tapped the seal down the stem and it doesnt want to go farther bu it looks like there is a tiny gap between the bottom of the seal and the metal seat. Is this okay or does the seal need to be flush against the bottom of the separate seat?

Usually when installing seals you won't feel like it's on right cuz there is a little gap like you mentioned. I'd bet you have them on right

You can use a socket you just want to be gentle with it. It doesn't need to be knocked very hard at all, usually a few taps will make it happen. There is supposed to be a small gap in between the seal and seat once installed.

the GM installer tool is a little Cup shaped piece.. .you only push them down by hand with their tool... and the seals do not touch the bottom
Kent moore makes this one in this thread.

That is perfect. When installed the seal will not go all the way down to the metal spring seat.
