Default Cam Questions??????

New guy here. Been on Corvette Forum for years.

I have a failed balancer. Inertia ring seperated and shifted back damaging the front engine cover and oil seal. Since I have to pull all of this to repair I am installing a new cam.

My heads are stock and I will still be using the stock exhaust manifolds as well. The only real mods are intake and Borla Exhaust.

Car is not a daily driver so I am looking at a moderately large cam.

What do you guys think of the following

Futral F4 226/226 .575/.575 LSA 112

Other suggestions?

Yeah that CAM ROCKS and will be great for you and has even propelled some F-bodies (on big diets i'm sure) into the highs 10s with stock heads and of course a BALLSY CONVERTER & GEARS! YOU will be HAPPY! THat being said that is still not that big of a cam at all to today's standard and since you said this is a weekend warrior and you want to go fairly aggressive, i would seriously consider getting the FMS 11 instead at 228/230 or even the F13 with specs of 230/232. Allan at FMS is an LS1 CAM GURU and you can't go wrong with any of his CAM selections!!! Those last two bigger cams i mentioned would still be 10000% streetable and would make a bit more power in the higher rpms!
