Default cam question?

i have a com cams solid roller 242/242/ 647 with a 3500 stall to use,can it be used on a stock shortbolck, would it even make more power because its so big? i already have the cam so i figured i'd use it till i can buy a smaller one or trade for one,and its a solid roller so i couldnt use stock pushrods and lifters?

Sell it and get a hydraulic cam with proper pushrods.
