Default Just bought 224r 113lsa pac .650 single springs

What do you guys think? I wanted to do h/c, but decided I'm going to wait another 5-6 months or more to do the heads because I won't start my new job tell than. I'm still on stock tranny and I have a 100 shot on top of this so I don't want to shift it to high. I was thinking around 6400 rpm or so.... What you guys think?

Shifting at 6400 should be fine with that cam and those springs will be more than enough.

I always seen that you should shift 400rpm or so after peak hp?

I have this cam with 853 heads. Dynoed peak power at 6300rpm and shift at 6600. No point in going higher, these style of lobes can be rough on the valve train and the cam won't produce unless you have better heads/intake.

By produce, I meant above 6300rpm. Sorry for the confusion. Mine is spec'd at 112lsa. Gained 45rwhp after the swap.

Cool I would love to gain 40hp. I'm also doin slp 25% pulley at the same time. I have racetronix injectors ready to go in as soon as I get to the tuner. just installed my racetronx fuel pump today. I'm having a guy that street tunes ALOT of f-bodies around here tune it.

You will love that cam, it makes a ton of torque down low and has a relatively flat power curve. Drives like stock until you put the foot to the floor . I made 363/350 with stock 853 heads and ls1 intake. About to put on a fast 92 and hope for 400whp. The motor was still tight (new 347) on a hot day. Either way dynos only dissappoint, and the proof is in the pudding I have had no problem laying waste to pullied '03 cobras on the street.
