Default Another 977 / CompR question

I am getting some 5.3L Stage II heads made at absolute speed. With the cam I am going with, Jay suggested the 977 / CompR route.

Jay said don't worry about the adjustable rockers, that he will use custom length pushrods. I shipped him my cam so he can set it up on his test engine.

Not knowing too much about internals .... does this sound right or am I setting my daily driver up for alot of downtime??

Also .. does anyone know what type of spring life I should see out of the 977s?

thanks,
Crowley

I have the same setup. I just installed HS rockers and needed to use .030 SVO shims to get the preload right. I have not had any issues. Trust Jay.

So instead of using shims .. you could use different length pushrods? Does that sound right? I trust him .. I just am ignorant on the topic and like reasurance

How quiet is your valvtrain with those springs ..

I have 7.35 PR and needed the .030 shim to get the preload right. The valve train has the common sewing machine noise but ain't bad compared to the exhaust and the Moser 12 bolt.
