Default Lost the cam specs

My friend lost his specs too his cam which was a comp cam and he needs to know his specs for his upcoming dyno tune appointment. Can we find out what the cam specs are by just removing the timing cover and timing chain? The specs should be ingraved right there on top of the cam right?

Size of the cam shouldn't matter to the tuner. He should be able to see what tje engine does and fix it from there regardless...only thing the specs will do is give the tuner a better idea where to start...but he should still be able to tune the car.
