Default which lifters

i have a 98 ta that i am about to do a H/C swap on. will be installing a TQV2 with a set of PRC 2.5 5.3L heads. im wondering if most people swap out lifters or if they just use the stock ones. im over 100K miles right now and its a DD (only like 5 miles a day though)

should i replace my lifters? and if so, which lifters should i go with and what all would be needed for the swap?

Get some replacement LS7 lifters. They are like $140 for the set. Also, get some new LS2 lifter trays as well, which run about $40 for a set of 4. Because you're over 100k miles, you should go ahead and change out the lifters and lifter trays to save your from any headaches down the line.

Another vote to replace the stock lifters with a set of new LS7 lifters, they're a quality product and inexpensive. Also, its not a good idea to reuse lifters with so many miles on them with a new cam anyways.

awesome, thanks guys! im running out of money, but i guess i will just push back the install a tad bit to buy the lifters. id rather tear it down once, then have to tear it down in the future because i didn't change out the lifters.
