Default Feedback with lq9 pbuild plan

Ok guys i plan on getting an LQ9 short block from Thomspon motorsports sooner or later. And with that said i wanted to do a ls3 top end with the TSP PRC LS3 250cc heads and a ls3 fast 102. I know people usally run the l92 and ls3 intake so how does my setup sound??

I would look into a stock set of heads. The ls3 heads flow more than your engine can handle in stock form, and porting them seems to offer little gains on a small cube engine.

I am in the process of building the same engine and i opted for stock ls3 top end.

In future when I stroke it, I will have the heads ported.

The heads already have large lazy ports and if the air flow needs are not there, it will make for a loss in low end torque because low rpm air velocity will slow down.

Also, I suggest EPS for a cam. Geoff spec'd me a 230/242 .603/.615 113 cam. He said he has this cam in 5th gen's making over 500 at the ground cam only.

Why not get Thomson heads, for your Thomson short block?

The ports on the LS3 250cc are smaller than stock but flow alot more, and i plan on using the Fast and a nice specd cam to go with the heads. and later down the road i will get a 408 short block and keep everything else and go FI

If moneys tight then thats what i will probably end up doing and go with a fast 92, but their shortblock is cheaper than tsp so i will just use theirs with the heads i want to use.

I Gotcha. I forgot about the small bore tsp heads. Those would compliment the 6.0 nicely and run with The best on a 408.
