Default Do you think the redesigned 26918 spring is capable of a constant .601 lift cam?

I was hearing great things about the new redesigned springs from comp. So I ordered them for my 232/238 .599"/.601" lunati cam. Do you think I'm running a weak spring for my cam? I'll only be revving the motor to 6400 if that..

It will be fine just make sure you install them at correct height.

Wouldn't you rather play it safe and get a better spring? I would prefer to have around 400# at open pressure. That spring is around 350#

Thanks, i've been around for awhile. I stress on install height, it should be equal on all valves. Done properly, I've never had a 918 fail on me, or any other single beehive for that matter.
Trick is attention to details and installation protocols.

Be careful with running more than 400 open lbs. of pressure on stock rockers on a set-up that sees street time.

Spintron testing has shown that over time the valve stem tips will chew themselves up with excessive spring pressure.

I had the old 918's in my car for 15k miles with a .601 lift cam... Saw 6800rpm regularly... Worked great up until I took them out to upgrade
