Theres a ton of factors to consider. For a cam od very highly suggest having someone like Pat G custom spec one for you. Have the heads ported and milled, supporting valvetrain, longtube headers, free flowing exhaust.

Youre not gonna get that on a budget, and on stock manifolds forget it.

For 500rwtq youre going to need either forced induction or a built na motor

^ I don't follow? If my mild build 346 cube LS motor can make 419 torque, I don't see how a 408 could not make 500 torque (with the proper setup obviously).

That's a tall order on stock manifolds no matter if you had the collective cam timing prowess of Pat G, Ed Curtis, Brian Tooley, Geoff Skinner or Harvey Crane himself specifying the profile.

Get the compression up by milling the heads, get a good port job on the 317s. Port match the manifolds bc there is plenty u can remove. If you can use any stock ex manifold I suggest c5 z06 corvette manifolds, I saw a dyno test where they matched some shorty headers. I have a set I would sell you cheap if your interested. Def keep that trailblazer ss intake for max torque.

Go with a 4" stroke no doubt.

You're going to need something way out in left field on the cam timing.

I'm not even going to attempt to try and throw a profile out there because it will be followed by 5 posts asking why does it look like that and that will never work. If you're interested in this profile shoot me a PM, E-mail or call the shop tomorrow from 8-5 EST.
