Angry Help!! I think I have a Lifter Problem

So I just did a Cam/Head and had a noise when it was all together.

I installed a Torquer V3, stock 243 heads with PRC Duel springs, Hardened PR, Ported ls6 oil, Under Drive.

Spent all this time and then a ticking noise on the Passenger side. Opened it up and this is what I found.

Question - What caused this and how far do I need to take apart to find the rest of it?

What is a good replacement set?

Thanks

The cam is screwed for sure, what else could depend on run time. How long did it run? Cut open the oil filter, that'll give you a clue...

I'd be worried about the cam lobe being tore up. But you at the very least need to drain the oil and cut the filter open to look for metal flakes. If you see metal flakes particularly copper you will need to tear it open.

It ran for maybe 10 mins 2 times. It is #6 cylinder so I can't see the lob very well but it looks ok. Will have to look into that more.

I guess I will start with the oil and see what I can find.

Are you saying that damage occurred in the span of running the motor for 10 minutes?

Have you verified the valve train geometry to ensure you weren't hitting coil bind?

Did you use any assembly lube on the cam lobes to ensure lubrication on startup?
