Default LS1 Build Help

-Hi I am going to begin to build up my LS1 Camaro, and i need to know what i will need to get the car to ~450rwhp.

-I know ill need a new cam, heads, supporting internal mods, along with bolt ons. However i want to retain some of the fuel economy the stock car has. So what i need to know is what you guys are building/have and what mpg you get.

-I want to know what cam, heads, TB, intake, and any other mods you feel should be listed. And if you could tell me your average MPG that would be great

Is your car automatic or manual? I have our PRC as cast 225 heads, a Tsunami camshaft, 1 3/4 long tube headers, an LS6 intake with stock tb, and an underdrive pulley and I was able to make right at 450rwhp. I have an 01 corvette with a manual so if you have an auto the numbers will be a little less due to drivetrain loss. I recommend the package as it is still very drivable, I don't daily drive my car but I could if I had to. I don't know what in town mileage is like but the last time I took a road trip with it I was still getting 26-27mpg out of it.
Here is a link to the same heads and cam package I have:

6sp FTW. Thanks alot for replying. That cam and head package looks good. was right about what i was looking at. is the FAST 78 better than the LS6 intake? Also i was looking at the 3" TSP Rumbler x. how much does it really affect the ground clearance? And is it possible to put some cats on it?

I am still on stock injectors and fuel rails. If I remember right you can use the stock fuel rails on the FAST 78mm intakes, more then likely you will need new injectors though. Our altitude and my stockers allow me to stay where I am at. Some of the FAST 36lb injectors would work great for something like this.

The rumbler x will suffer a little ground clearance to stock parts but with some work it will fit up around the torque arm pretty well. You can get cats put in it if you want, not something we are able to do before they ship though.

i looked into the EPS cams and they seem really good for my application. I think im gonna buy the LS 236/248. Has bigger duration than the Tsunami and the intake lift is lower, so itll be less strain on the valvetrain, and should still deliever the same power. also the power band is from 1800-7200. and ill probably get the 225cc heads from TSP since they also seem to fit my application. still have to look into the heads though. any thoughts?
