Default Milling heads vs. Bigger cam

I'm mapping out my mods for the summer and got stumped. I currently have a TR224 and stock LS6 heads. I was thinking of either moving to a bigger cam (somewhere in the 234/.600) range, or taking a little bit off my heads. I was wondering which would show the best gains.

Going w/ a bigger cam means more stress on the drivetrain and a bigger chance of spring breakage, but milling could cause knock or other problems if not milled right. I'm trying to weigh out the pros and cons here.

I think I heard for every .5 of CR, you add about 10rwhp. Is this correct? I wouldn't expect more than 15 for going w/ the bigger cam so these options seem pretty similar to me.

Any help?

I wouldn't mill the heads. Go with the bigger cam, then if you get tired of it you'll have more room to upgrade to something even bigger without having to worry about P/V clearance. And because you have LS6 heads, you should see better gains with a bigger cam than those of us with LS1 heads (obviously).

If you run a quality dual spring, your valvetrain should be just fine.

Just my opinion.
