Question Lq9 Delima

Ok so here is my delima, I have my stock 6.0 disassembled. It appears that everything is in almost new condition. However I was thinking of maybe stroking it. I dont know if I want to build a 370,402,404 or a 408 or just go back stock. Is either one of these combinatios really worth the extra 3 grand? Or would I get more out of using that money on other upgrades.

I already have Patriot 59 cc heads, Fast 90/90 set-up and cam. Any one have any suggestions?

I'd say turbocharged stock stroke/bore or 408 if I had the choice. What are you putting it in and what are your plans for the car?

A 370 uses the stock stroke, simply .030 over on the cylinders.

The engine combination in question is going in my 99 Z-28. I like the sound of building a turbo but dont heve the required funds. The car is just an old man's play pretty!!!!!!!!!

C series cranks are cheap... gotta be some cheap forged rods you could use. Look for used crank and forged pistons. If you have the old rotator you can sell the parts to recover some of the money.

Your heads and intake/tb combo are going to choke it if you do a 402 or 408. Ideally you'd want a 70cc head and 102/102 intake/tb combo. Those are things you can always swap out at a later time if the funds aren't there though.
