Default What is a stock LS1 Shortblock worth?

I'm considering options and trying to figure out what my stock shortblock is worth. It will need re-bearing/rings and will need a head stud thread repair on one bolt hole. Otherwise the shortblock will come with the balancer and a Cadillac pan. Has a good oil pump and limited use on the single row timing chain.

Thanks!
Mike

i just sold my shortblock
block, crank, rods, pistons assembled, front, rear, and valley covers only
$500, and even that took awhile. mint condition with 38k miles
Yours I would offer you $200 and walk away IMO

I would minus the amount to be repaired from the value of the shortblock, that will be the worth.

It doesn't need rings or rod bearings from what I saw under ispection, but I figured while you are there...

It's a 99 block with about 55Kmiles on it.

Unless you're sellin' locally the shipping will also hamper the amount that
someone is willing to pay for it. I'd say be happy to get 300ish for it.

I live in south west PA and I sold an old ls1 as a bare block and crank after I had it hot tanked for 400$. I figure there is probably a better market for them elsewhere in the us.
