Default Question about my cam/setup

2000 camaro, a4, hardtop car with manual windows, never been weighed. Long tubes, off road y, 3.42 gear, ls6 intake, drag radials on stock 16" wheels, 17" zr1 wheels up front, lower control arms, subframes. Yank pt4000 stall.

Car ran 7.7@91 with 1.70 60'. I figured it would be faster so looking for the issue. Tune? Cam? Or is it dead on? Here's the cam specs, pistons have not been fly cut which maybe we need to check that.

Duration@50: 227/231
Lift: .613/.617
Lobe separation: 114

Ideas?

Edit: car has been tuned as well. I just feel somethings wrong.

1.7 60ft is a pretty legit time for not having heads that's for sure...I think you are right on...

I doubt you have any ptvc issues with having stock heads and gaskets, and with only 1* overlap on that cam. So what's the ICL on your cam?
I'd recommend having your heads ported an milled. Your cam will respond very well to the higher flow an bump in compression.

Changed to front skinnys. Ran it without stalling it. Just left off idle. Tends to like that best. 7.47@93.6. Still only 1.66 60'

What's the suspension setup? And what DRs you running? The PT4000 should get you into the 1.5x range with your mods.

Not sure what's up with the 60. Stock springs/shocks. Still has sway bars. Subframe connectors. Bmr I believe lower control arms. No torque arm or anything else. 16" stock rear wheels with mt et street radials

Sixty should be a solid tenth quicker.

Might need to look into a panhard bar and a torque arm and maybe some adjustable drag shocks. Stock springs are excellent. Also disconnect the front sway bar for better weight transfer. Also play around with the pressure in the ET streets. Try 10-14 psi. I think they respond better to lower pressure IIRC.

youre just gonna have to find the sweet spot with that converter, i agree with others that you should be in the 1.5 range with the pt4000

airing up your front runners and running those mickeys in the rear at 18-20 lbs and taking off the front swaybar should be enough to get where u want to be. Make sure you are staging as shallow as possible as well, makes a difference

stock suspension should hold up fine if you arent spinning

The mods/tuning was done by tick by the way along with the aid of a mutual friend named Jon. The drivability and all is spot onl. To notch people if you are looking for any LSx work
