Which springs to run?

Default Which springs to run?

Need some opinions on what valve spring kit to go with. here are the choices Im looking at:

-PRC .650" Titanium Dual Valve Spring Kit
-Lunati .660" Dual Spring Kit
-Brian Tooley .660" Platinum Spring Kit

The Lunati spring kit uses steel retainers, the Brian Tooley & PRC kits both use titanium retainers. Theyre all about the same price. Just looking for some opinions & would love some real world experience from anybody who has used these.

As far as the cam, etc Ill be using the MS3 cam, 853 heads with AI 219cc CNC package, stock rockers w/ Comp trunion upgrade.

I just ordered the Brian tooleys from tick just installed them heard the have 0 springs issues everybody has nothing but good words about brain I spoke with him on the phone as well really nice and helpful guy

Thanks for the post man. This is the kind of post I was hoping for, get some good answers. Yeah I have searched on his springs & I have not found a bad review or negative thing yet. Hmm +1 for Brian Tooley springs lol thanks man.

We use a lot of Tooley's stuff, but we also have used some TSP stuff with no issues. Either would be a good choice.

better price, every bit as nice (if not better in all honesty)

You can get the Tooley kit with steel retainers for like 219. I'd recommend his Platinum kit with Ti retainers tho. 155/400 spring pressure is good for stock rockers and stock valves with XE-R lobes.

I would run the valve spring that the particular cam lobe your using calls for, and not much more.

I just picked up some btr pushrods. Can't go wrong great price a+ communication I wouldn't hesitate to buy a set of btr springs.

Ls7 lifters are the most used I would say, personally I'm gonna see if my stock truck lifters last. my Cam is around .588 lift and I'm running psi 1511ml springs good to .630

lifters are stock on the 3 cars.weekend cars only.our track closed for good 6yrs. ago.
