Default My 5.3 build

Lol i know its not an LS1 but whatever lol. This is going into an S10 btw. Picked up the motor on craigslist for $400w engine had 89,000 on the clock.
With everything, ECU, all accessories. Dented my bed pretty good. No tie downs fail lol. ( I fixed that dent though.)

Lol i had tp save some dough to get a hoist and engine stand . So i woorked out of the back of my truck till i could buy them lol dont bash.

Lol ford blue on my chevy motor. Yes indeed!


Ended up getting a Comp 228r cam on craigslist for $150. Practically brand new.

Got my LS7 lifters and LS2 timing chain and lifter trays.


Ls6 fuel rail and 7.4 hardened chromoly pushrods

Cleaned up my PS bracket and gotmy dorman 300-201 pulley

Cleaned up the heads and pistons

Painted my balancer just for kicks. Wasnt feeling the rustyness

Got my heads back from being tanked and valve springs installed. Started buttoning up the first one.



Got my expensive **** holley pan in, along with NGK iridiums, MSD wires, Russell fittings, my stainless braided fuel line. I also picked up and LS1 intake and painted my fuel rail.



I had to modify my coil brackets because i accidentally ordered Fbody wires . Offset them about an inch 1/2 and that took care of that. Herethe most recent pic. I misplaced a bunch of pics so sorry for the"skimpyness"

looks great,consider a trunnion bearing upgrade.did you get harden push rods ?
