Default Injector Upgrade?

Just got my new 427 motor stabbed in the car and I am thinking about having it tuned on E-85 since it is available in my area. I have the Ford Green Top 42lb injectors (flow matched) now but should I upgrade those to a 60lb (higher-lower) to run the E-85?
Will the Green Tops fair well with alcohol?
Is the 42lb enough or too much for running E85?

Thanks guys!

Chad

For that big motor, I would go with siemens deka. They are easy to tune if you have the correct data.

Chad, if you upgrade I'll take your old injectors if the price is fair.

Anybody else see a problem with running the Green 42lb Ford on E-85? SHould I go bigger? Will the Green injectors hold up to the alcohol? Is the alcohol a problem with any injector? Since E-85 is higher octane which means less gas and more alcohol, which means more fuel consumption, does that mean i should go to a bigger injector?

and choose an injector to add about 30% more flow over the gas inj flow. That will get you close.

You said 427 but gave nothing to indicate what sort of power you expect or a parts list so we could make a guess. That is the first bit of info needed when discussing injector size needs.

I'm guessing 575 to 600 RWHP, maybe more if I tune to E-85.

That much hp and E85 to boot, yeah, you'll need bigger injectors.
