Default Which LQ for Fbody

I am goin to try and build a LQ motor for my Camaro this winter. I have searched some and still need some answers. Which year short block do I need? The long cranks are 2000 and back correct? The short crank is what I need right? What years do they range from? The car is a T56 car. One other question I have is what are you guys doing to upgrade the PCV system with a LQ4/9? Can the LS6 system still be used? Thanks

Plan is-
Stock crank
Eagle H beams
Weisco flat tops, 4.030
ARP everything
L92s done by AI
LS3 intake
All other usual goodies

Going to spray eventually, trying to do more with less for now though

99-00 6.0s have the longer crank and an iron version of the 317s, so they are easy to spot. The LQ4/9 is an exact casting of the LS1 just in iron and has a 4 inch bore. GM started to phase in 58x wheels in 2005 (I think 06-07 LQ4/9 all had 58x, not sure though). 2004 LQ4/9 would be the most desirable (2004-up used all equal length head bolts), however any 2001-2004 would work well. As far as PCV goes, you could always ditch it altogether and run breathers, but if you want to run the LS6 PCV the conversion would be the same process as on an LS1. Also you'll need to drill a hole on the iron block for the alternator bracket bolt hole.
