Default Crank snout damage, now what

Hey everyone.

I was pulling my ls1 harmonic balancer a little bit ago, got the bolt out no problem ( 4ft prybar and 3ft breaker bar) and then attached my standard 3 jaw puller on the balancer. on the front of the puller I put a 3/4" deepwell socket to make sure I had enough threaded rod to get the balancer off.
well long story short, the socket dug into the crank quite a bit.
The actual surface where the balancer actually mounts to is good, its great actually, the bolt threads are good to go as well.
So what do I do now?

Thanks in advance

Phil

I would file the sharp edges down and run it. The bolt head rides against the balancer itself and as long as the threads are good, you'll be fine.

I second this. If the bolt screws in, you're fine. Just remove the rough edge.

I agree, the snout is recessed in the hub of the harmonic damper. See below:

I appreciate the help ! I will ****** a new bolt from the dealer and install the new balancer tonight. This was a HUGE scare to me!
Thanks again.

This was one hell of a reason for a first post.
