Default replacing iron 6.0 heads with stock lm7 heads - worth it?

so i have an iron headed 6.0 that i plan on putting in my 88 monte and i just bought a complete 2000 lm7 for $200 and i was wondering if it would be worth it to replace the iron 6.0 heads with the 5.3 heads or not. i know ill need new headgaskets and headbolts so thats why i was wondering, would the difference in power be worth spending money on hg's/head bolts?

im just not really sure how well the iron heads flow compared to 317's (which i had a set of until a week before i bought the 6.0 )

Smaller combustion chamber and aluminum should be an improvement, but the smaller valves of the 862's will hurt it. It would probably be a wash unless you plan on running a compression ratio that the iron heads will limit.
