Default Can pistons be bushed?

There are a slew of used Carillo rods on E-Bay with Honda rod journals and 0.787" pin bores and it got me thinking... I could get a stock crank offset ground which would make "off the shelf" pistons available *if* the pin size could be compensated for. I don't think there's enough "meat" on the small ends to handle the +0.140" increase to get to 0.927" bore, so maybe a bushing in each end of the piston to support the rod... Maybe similar to the pin retention buttons on a fueler?
