Default lq4 gasket question

i have a lq4 stock short block no fly cutting im having the heads milled .30 and im wondering should i run a .041 head gasket or .051 plan on running a cam in the 58x lift mid 23x dur...will i run into ptvc problems? and what is compression going to be?

also whats the cheapest place you guys get your gaskets need head and manifold gaskets

what heads are you using? from what i researched roughly milling the 317 heads with stock .051 gasket should bring you around 10.2:1 i believe.You shouldnt run into ptv problems with the dished lq4 pistons and stock valvetrain.

you can run 243 heads milled and still be clear of ptv with a mild cam under 600 lift with stock gasket.thats what im upgrading to next month and comp should be around 10.8:1 for a decent bump in power.

reach out to some vendors and discuss cam choices based on the plans for your heads for a package that will perform.

cool good to hear! using the 317s with some clean up hand porting and matched victor jr. with holley 750 carb..
