Does anyone know what models and yrs that 243 or 799 cylinder heads are on?

I know they came on the LS6's but I've been reading articles that they were on certain Silverado's and some other vehicles.


I'm asking because I want to know what vehicles to look for when I go junk yard diving.

i dont know the exact truck models but pretty much any of the newer 5.3 engines in trucks from 07??-up should have them. As well as the ls2 gto's and trailblazer ss'. the cts-v and z06 are the only cars that had the lightweight valves in the heads though.

they are also on the 07+ 4.8l truck and impala ss 5.3

That is what I have seen^^^

I know for a fact TBSSs have 243 casting heads.

I believe the TBSS was made from 2006-2008,IIRC.

Also the LS2s that came in the CTS-vs have 243 castings.

Did 243's ever get put on the 2002 Camaro z28 or ss why I ask is I know someone that said some of the last 2002's came with them

I didnt know about the 4.8's but ya any newer 5.3 should have them as well as any ls2 car, cts-v, vettes, etc

I have 799's on my L33 5.3 aluminum motor if out of a '05 silverado ext cab
