try drilling the center of the bolt and back it out with an easy out tool.

Try left hand drill bits, you might get lucky, put a little grease on it and most of the metal shavings will stick to the bit. Good luck man.

You might try searching this problem extensively before you go any further. I believe there are many threads in regards to your problem.

Metal shavings will not get into the engine oil or any other internal area as long as the oil pan and front cover are still on which I assume they still are....

This is a big problem but it can be fixed.

ok i got another question guys. my motor was sitting up for a while and got a good amount of water into it. and i think the bolt broke because the engine may have just rusted on inside and it was really hard to turn at one point

the easy out tools are designed to remove broken bolts. I would honestly try them first.

You should be able to roll the engine over with about 40ftlb with the plugs in it. More than that and you have a problem and the broken bolt is the least of your worries

If you're worried about rust and it holding what's left of the bolt, look for some Deep Creep Penetrant. That stuff works pretty good. Then hit it with the easy out like suggested above.
