Default FASt 102/102

With the tax return coming, I want to swap my ls6 intake and ported 90mm TB for the FAST 102/102 combo. I've searched a bit and found threads relating to it BUT, I'm just an amateur and don't know exactly what needs to be done to make it properly "fit". There is a 102/102 kit w/ fuel rails and line on ebay which I'm looking at.

the fast 92 mm TB works better for tuning .just get a fast 92 combo and retain your fuel rail and injectors .

If you buy the kit you will probably need to grind your water pump, bend the steam line, and do a little cutting on your injectors IF they are the fat ones. If you have an auto you have to bend your trans dip tube.

102 is superior to the 92 according to tony mamo...and since he has flowed and dyno tested them since they came out...I take his word for it.

I'm running the FAST 102 with the 92mm TB. The LS6 crossover tube is horrible with the FAST 102. I bought the LS3 style and I can tell the intake was designed around it. Much better fit and I didn't have to bend it like the LS6. I didn't have to grind the water pump either as if you have a later style, you should be GTG.

I used the LS2 fuel rail and retained my LS1 injectors. I bought the LS2 rail from a member here and sold my LS1 rail for the same coin.

The FAST 92 would not have been cheaper in my case.

So you bought the ls3 style and it fit with no problem on your ls1/6?

I saw it but didn't answer all my questions because I don't have that much understanding or experience with ls motors.

And I guess I'll be buying the ls3 102/102. The intake will match the ls1 heads?

I'm in the same "amateur" column as you. I've been shopping the Peak Speed Shop's ported 102/102 setup and I realize that a 92mm setup may be ideal but either way is expensive so WTH buy the ported 102 and just be done with it! I could install it all myself, but the more I think about it the more I want my local speed shop to install and dyno it, tune it all same time.

I think you misunderstood. The LS3 intake will not fit. I believe he was talking about an LS3 coolant crossover tube.

Definitely misunderstood if that's the case. Exactly what will I need? Kit would include rails. What about injectors? And the ls3 crossover tube will be needed as well?

Dont forget aboit the valley cover bolts! Dunno if the 102 version fixed it, but if you dont get the bolts with smaller heads it will crack the bottom of your manifold

All bolts come in the kit, if your injectors are skinny youre gold. If they are fat you cut them. You will also need to fab a little bracket for the evap solenoid.

The list just keeps getting bigger... damn. Anywho, I might as well swap to a ls6 valley cover for a better pcv. I'm assuming the bracket will be required or the solenoid valve will be just hanging?

If I wanted larger injecotrs, they would have to be ls2 style correct?

Sorry for the confusion earlier.....

No, I'm using the LS1 style 36lbs injectors. I used a spacer kit from a vender here (Let me dig the name up...CBM?) and the LS1 O-rings supplied by FAST with the 102.

EDIT: Here you go. I used this kit to use LS1 injectors on the FAST 102. http://www.ebay.com/itm/CBM-10837-LS...sories&vxp=mtr (The kit is so you can use the LS2 rail)

USE FAST's O-rings, the ones in this kit are too small IMHO.

If you look at my picture:

FAST 102 intake (LS1 Style)
LS2 fuel rail
Spacer kit
LS1 fuel injectors
LS1 harness
LS3 Coolant Cross over tube

The FAST intake comes with all the hardware needed to install it.

No....If you are going to use the FAST 102 on the LS1, use the LS1/2/6 version NOT the LS3.

I understand whats above. However, is there a larger (42lb/hr or whatever) injector that will fit the rails without having to run spacers?

I think they have billet rails that allow you to use LS1 style injectors. You just have to make sure you get the right rails.

We have takeoff LS2 rails for $95 shipped, although it sounds like your kit would come with that. We also have takeoff LS2 injectors that will drop right into the intake for $100 if 34# is enough for what your'e doing. You would need to get some injector harness adapters, $60ish. We have those too.
