Default lifter stuck!!!

hey guys I took the heads off to change the lifter after I develop a loud ticking, I took them off but one of them does not go out, I can rotate the lifter but when I try to pull it out, it will only go half way!! How can I get it out?!! Use a magnet already and some pliers and nothing!

Chances are your lifter got destoryed and flared out at the end. If you try to force it out you could do some serious damage to the lifter bore on the block.

I recommend taking it out from the bottom like the guy above said. Even then..you still may have ruined the lifter bore. You can have them honed and sleeved by a machine shop though so no worries there.

I know from experience. Same thing happened to me.

If the lifter is damaged likely the cam is too. Pull the cam then the lifter from the bottom. Hope you didn't force it up and damaged the lifter bore.
