Default What do I need to buy?

I have an 01 SS Camaro, will be buying headers this weekend.

But my next step is heads and cam. i wanted to for the last couple years do the LS6 heads and cam mainly because there are some gains but i daily drive my SS. But everything ive read and heard is to do something that gives you a little more power.

I have all tools required.

Taking that into account, what would be a shopping list of stuff i need to do the heads and cam swap. Nothing outrageous, more a less a budget build but not extreme just looking for good gains for a DD

sure, its a great way to save some coin. only thing when buying used heads is you may need to change the springs and sometiems the valves but I dont think the valves will be of any concern to you.

easily, and you wouldnt even need heads to hit that number. but, for 300-400$ a set of ls6 heads would certainly make that goal easier to hit with better numbers, and would really help a cam shine.

theres so so so many to chose from. I suggest you research them and go from there, or have someone spec you a cam.
Heres a few to look at though, EPS, TSP, Tick, Vengeance, Livernois etc
One thing, with stock rockers, keep the lift under .630

Check out Martins Cams @Tick Performance. He has a new line of cams, (and older ones of course) and his personal service is unmatched. He spent more than enough time with me on the phone to spec out my cam. BUT..do it right...read the stickys so you have a basic understanding. Do not get the zo6 cam...as in 2 yrs from now you'll be kicking yourself because you didn't go bigger. Just search DD cams. It'll bring up alot of options that you can start to dig into for more options and more of an understanding.
