Default LS1 Fuel Pressure Issues

I just recently put a LS1 for a 99 Firebird in my buggy. I'm running a Aeromotive A1000 cell with in tank pump and WIX 33737 corvette filter/regulator. When I turn on the key, the fuel pressure builds to 60 and after pump cuts off it immediately falls to zero. I thought it could have been injectors falled open or leaking but I replaced all injectors and same thing happens. I checked all line and no leaks found anywhere. Any suggestions???

The pump has no check valve in it.....
BTW, try the fuel injection forum for info like this.

The specs on the pump did not require check valve on the system. Do you think I need to install one somewhere?

If it starts and runs fine, no need to re-invent the wheel.

That's the issue. I can't get it started after the pressure falls.

I would have thought the Corvette filter/reg unit would have a check valve built into it, maybe an expert could chime in? It might be as simple as a bad unit...

Make sure that you have the correct fuel line off the regulator going to the tank and rail. Maybe you have the lines reversed. Just a suggestion

All lines are correct according to WIX instructions on their website. I thought the regulator could simply be bad so I took it back and got another one. No Difference. Its got me stumped.

Best bet is to find someone else here running that reg and ask about his system. If the regulator does have a check valve, one (or more) of your injectors may be bad. New injectors should hold pressure, but you never know...

You need a check valve to hold the fuel in the rails after the initial fuel prime.
