Procharger has the D1x coming, supposed to give ~8% more power.

I would go procharger...you have been planning for it. The new X series chargers look like they are closing the gap some in power vs a turbo.

Was working on my daily driver today, so didn't have much time to go out and make any videos with the Trans Am. But I did find a little time to clean and polish the wheels and exhaust tips. So this is more of a trial run with cheapo GoPro I picked up to see how it would do with videos....

Sounds good man! Quick question, what kind of polish do you use? I can never seem to keep those big *** exhaust tips clean..

Borla makes an exhaust polish. I use it and bronze wool.

Mother's liquid chrome polish...Stuff is amazing. That and a towel is all you need to remove water spots, carbon build up , and road tar.

I'll try that.

The Borla is thick and cakes on. You have to use a Powerball or the bronze wool to get it off. But it works.

I usually just work in a dab with the wool and keep working it, moving to a cleaner piece of the wool until it's done. Then I use a terry cloth or even just a shop rag and get any residue out. Then I spray with the water hose to check to see if it needs a touch up.

It takes about 5 mins to do it.

The Borla stuff puts a protective coating on it. Lasts about a month before I notice them getting dulled out again.

That looks like the Straub kit, yeah?

If so I just installed their kit in my C6Z. Good quality stuff it seems. I'll post the link to my thread so you can see what the comp kit was doing. Glad I made the switch

You would be correct.

And that shroud is ****. I'm about to throw it on just to free up a lot of space under the hood and wire in the SPAL fans before I even get to the go faster goodies.

And yep, Straub kit. I weighed it vs the CHE kit. Almost did CHE since I know that kit is insane and Kurt Urban helped with it. But the Straub kit is fine for what I'm doing, and the price was better.

Also swapped over to JGR Driven LS30 oil. I'll see how it does. I should be able to get 3k if not 5k miles out of an oil change with it vs the VR1 I was using. Plus, the LS30 has a higher shear rating and more ZDDP...

Are there any physical differences between the Straub and CHE trunnion kits? Sorry for the hijack....

CHE doesn't have to be pressed in. And it as perhaps a better oil groove system around it. At the end of the day, both are bronze bushings running on an oil film. So, how you get there is what makes them different. I believe the CHE bushings are lighter, but the weight is on the trunnion/lifter side and not the valve side, so for the RPMs most of us turn I don't think it'd make much of a difference.
