Default identifying my engine

Last weekend I purchased an engine for a conversion project. It was supposed to have been from a 98 Trans Am. Here is what I can find as far as numbers: block 12550592, heads 243, pcm 16238212.

From my research I think I have:
1998 5.7 ls1 block
1998 pcm
I thought that 98 ls1 engines came with 241 heads so I am unsure.

Can anyone either verify my findings or correct me so I can have the pcm flashed correctly.

Thanks in advance for any help.

If the engine runs and all the parts are good you made out like a bandit.

Well sooner or later the sun shines on us all. This will help to make up for some the not so great deals I have made in the past. LOL
