Default Most reliable rocker arm for trick flow heads

I currently have stock rocker arms with truion upgrade and I'm looking at some trick flow heads. What are the most reliable rocker arms or can I change out guide plates and use my stock ones. If so, what kind of guide plates should I replace them with to run the stock rocker arm?

From what I gather, if you have powdered metal guides installed, you can use the stockers. But, if I were to run aftermarkets, it would be jesels. It seems to many issues with other roller rockers. I've ran jesels on older BBC engines with great results.

For every one jesel failire there are probably 25+ yella terra failires along with all the other 'budget' ones.

Jesels or t&d shaftmount, otherwise stay stock with trunion upgrade.

Oh and the jesels are comparables are $1000+

I've heard this too, but do you still have to run the shim kit even with the PM guides?

I wouldn't consider YT rockers budget ,but they are $600 less the jesel.I see alot more HS rocker problems, then YT failures..I believe the YT rockers do ok in Aussie circle track racing.the YT rockers are 2 rockers mounted on 1 shaft, looks more stable then a HS rocker .ask Tony M,but I believe I saw YT rockers on Tonys lastest ls 454 build.

I don't believe so. I'm going to verify this when i talk to TEA. I'm thinking of having them set me up the 215 TFS heads. They are local to me, so i decided to use them instead of waiting a couple months from other vendors, even if i have my stockers ported.

Please post up once you find out for sure. I know Thunder Racing sells a shim kit/pushrods for the TFS heads for guys using stock rockers. Anyone else have them?

You still have to check for correct wipe. Some need them, some don't.

I want to add, even if you have powdered steel guides on the TFS heads, it will VOID YOUR WARRANTY IF YOU DONT HAVE TRUE ROLLER ROCKERS

TEA will be using a different spring package, I wouldn't be buying these off the shelf.
