Default 347 with '99 LS1 block, what bore?

I'm trying to build a 347. Can I do a 3.905 bore with a '99 block? Or will I have to do a 3.903?

Im pretty sure you might be able to since thatll be .007 which is max on 98, not sure on 99's.. 01-02's supposedly can go .010 but I would PM a vendor on here and they will know more info..

also If the engine is out, a machine shop can check and see if your block can take it.

.005 is max on 98-early 00 blocks..007 is max on the later ones.

Like pred said, hone as little as necessary. If it will clean up with a 3.903, run that. But make sure you have the pistons before anyone hones it.

I'm sure a 3.903 will work. The engine is still in running condition in the car, nothing wrong with it. Just making sure I buy the right parts.

Will the liners handle boost/nitrous reliably?

They will take some abuse.... How much are you looking to do?

I used 3.905". No issues here. You can typically go out to 3.908".

But yeah, bore as little as possible.

A 200 shot max. This engine probably wont see boost.
