LQ4 Head Gasket ??
Dont know what gasket to decide on. Motor is going in a 96 Mustang Cobra. Im surfing summitracing and prices are all across the board. What i dont know understand is what does it mean with compressed thickness..also with the felpro 9199pt Felpro gasket work. Heads will be milled very very little and will have ls6 springs with an ls6 cam.Need you all help. Thanks

It is the thickness that the gasket measures when the head is torqued down. Cometic makes gaskets in different thicknesses to help change compression. Go with these gaskets... http://www.texas-speed.com/p-205-gm-...er-gasket.aspx
You'll also need to replace the stock head bolts as they are torque to yield bolts and are one time use. Either get another set of oem bolts or some ARP bolts or studs, ARP's are reuseable.
I would also go bigger on the cam for 6.0L if you can afford it.

Conan hit it on spot! The larger displacement will eat extra duration right up and you dropping it in a light car. If it was me I'd go with a 228 cam and good valvesprings at a minimum. It will still have almost stock manners and a lot more power on the table

The gm gaskets are very nice, and quite a bit cheaper than cometic. I found the best price on the gm's through scoggin dickey parts. Summit might match prices though.
