Default Crank for my LQ9

Is there any reason an LSA crankshaft would not work in an LQ9 block? Building a mild turbo motor and for the price of a forged GM LSA crank I can do without the extra stroke of an aftermarket. And yes I searched but if you type LSA you have to dig through a million cam threads.

The stock cast 3.622 crank is good for 1,000+ HP. Unless the LSA crank you are looking at is a bigger stroke, I would save the money and run the crank you have in the LQ9.

Well that's just it. It's a bare virgin block. Brand new never used so I do have a crankshaft yet. It's 500 and some change. Not bad for a forged crank I think.

The only problem I see with this crank is it has a 8 bolt pattern for the fly wheel / flex plate. So depending on what transmission you are going to use I would look in to price and availability for those parts in the 8 bolt VS the standard 6 bolt before you buy.
