Default Which valve spring remover tool do I need?

What tool do you guys use to swap out your valve springs while the heads are in the car ? (2000 fbody)

My buddy loaned me a tool, not specific for an LS , and there's no way it's gonna work. Thunder racing sells a sweet tool but it's close to $200 :/

Help please

I have been using the ProForm tool, no complaints and it works great.

Just don't use the "claw" type tool you see in place like Autozone. It will damage a performance valve spring. You need one that pushes on the retainer. I use the Crane tool.

I have and use the More Performance valve spring compression tool that Thunder Racing does sell for $129.00. I have had mine for 10 years, bought mine at the company called More Performance, use to be down in Charlotte NC. It works GREAT and have used it on the Comp Cam 918 springs and the Comp Cam 921 Duel Springs while motor was still in cars.

Tim's tool and if you buy the kit you get the spark plug hose adapter to hold the valves up if you are changing it with the heads on.

I think I've got the trick flow tool, it was like $75 IIRC. Works nicely. Would have considered other options but it was the cheapest I could find at the time.

I used the JEGS tool that does both valves at once and it worked like a champ. I used the TDC method and had no problems.
