Well i am try to accomplish here is a generalation of how many miles can any lsx or gen3 motor can with stand before needed total overhaul.I was on one website that stated an 3rd gen or lsx engine can withstand 300,000 to 400,000 miles before it will need to be rebuilt.can anyone vouch for longevity of these lsx motors

Now before some of you guys reply back with a answer of it depends on how you take care of the motor and you keeping up with the oil changes(which we all know it does).

how many of yall have well over 200,000 miles on these motor and are still driving them.

almost all motors outlast the vehicles they are put in these days. Worrying about how long the engine will last pretty much died with the carburetor DECADES ago.

I know of 3 5.3 trucks with close to that. One with 240k, 286k, and 250k. Everyone of them are still going strong and have never been cracked open.

Depends greatly on the maintenance done and how hard the miles are.

With regular maintenance and keeping the engine temps down (not overheating) there's no reason why it should last 200k+ miles.

Don't do regular maintenance, let it overheat or beat on it constantly and that poor thing won't last 10k.
