Default lq9/4 question

ive got 2 lq4 foundations for my 408 turbo build. ive noticed on both blocks when removing the crank that the thrust bearing was a little worn. on both blocks they had a spun bearings on rods.
1: Is spinning bearings common on LQ9 or ls engines judging from last two blocks ive seen.
2: Are billet main caps overkill or necesary for 1000rwhp goal?

1. Only when you forget to put in/change the oil or over rev them.

2. No, IMHO I believe required for that amount.

Make sure you get the block check out from a good shop.
