Default 99 SS motor shaking at specific RPMS

Im in the market for buying another SS, this one is a 99 and is completely stock besides a lid, slp longtubes and borla catback..car is super clean from the outside and interior is near flawless...motor has 99k on it, 6speed and everythign is fine EXCEPT for one thing.....in neutral or when driving, around 1200-1400 rpms the motor shakes and also causes the body to slighly shake....have no clue other than a misfire or wobbly harmonic balancer but wanted to get some input to see if people have found the solution to this issue before i buy this car..thanks in advance

Motor mounts? Have someone go in the car and hold it at the rpm it shakes at and then you look under the hood and see what is causing it. When the engine is off, try rocking it side to side to see if the motor mounts are really bad. Also check the trans mount.

Crawl under the car and look at the driveshaft, torque arm, motor mounts... Something is obviously loose....

i have been having the same problem, also a little play in the transmission for a while before. after putting my stall in noticed it got worse. have solid motor mounts and all bolt ons. when i unbolt the converter from the flywheel. the vibration stops. ive chased gears, driveshaft, dampner, etc, and finally found it in the tranny. hopefully yours isnt the same, but if all else fails, i would unbolt the torque converter from flywheel, reinstall starter and see what happens.

edit:considering this is an A4

pretty sure its not the motor mounts because if it was would there be shaking throughout all rpms? i was thinking somewhere along the lines of my harmonic balancer, misfiring, or maybe even valves needing to be replaced....consiidering my valves as being the worst case scenario

Forget about worst case scenario. Think about the MOST LIKELY SCENARIO. It's most likely the engine mounts. Stock LS1 rubber mounts are garbage.

Ok, I'm new on here and also to the LS1, but I looked at all the forums for shaking and this is the closest I could find to my problem. My 98 Z28 only shakes from 2000-2500 RPMs in overdrive but if you give a little gas the shake stops. I was wondering if anyone had that problem?
