Default PTV LQ9 with L92 heads, any issues here?

LQ9 looks like a better candidate than the LQ4 for a high compression (high 10s to low 11s) N/A build using the stock rotating assembly. Before I buy anything, does anyone know if there will be any valve clearance issues using 64cc L92 heads?

My L92 heads are milled .020" to around 67cc on my LQ9 and I am having to flycut for the intake valves to make room for my G5X3 112 cam. Im using a stock L92/LS3 head gasket. My cam is a 234/243 .598/.611 111.5+4...at least that was what it degreed out to be.

completely depends on your cam. My cam is about as high as you can safely go on un milled heads on stock 6.0 bottom end. Talk to tick or eps, or LE, they will tell you your best options.

Regardless of what information you get...Its in your best interest to check PTV clearance no matter what!

Don't end up like the 100 mile engine guy among other who fail to check clearances and destroy their investment by skipping this critical step

I planned to use the clay method. I could try using the dial method as well. I've never used a dial before so ill have to be really careful since there will be a learning curve. Do you think dial will be necessary if I use clay method? I know with clay ill be able to make sure the valves edges aren't touching anything.

Why did you advance 4 degrees? Why not just get a lobe separation you want from the get go? Also advancing the cam could cause more clearance problems. How much room do you have with your setup?

You can't advance LSA!

The +4 denotes 4 degrees of intake centerline advance ground into the camshaft. It would be the same as installing the camshaft on a 109 intake centerline, only the physical advance has been accounted for already, thus needing to install a 113+4 camshaft on a 113ICL.
