I personally always wipe off new parts prior to installing.

Do you have to get rods resized when using ARP rod bolts?

You need to check the rods after torquing the bolts, to be sure they aren't out of round.I clean my parts prior to install with mineral spirits.

From my understanding when using arp rod bolts, they need to be resized... Same thing when using arp main studs and you will need a line hone...

the casting microstructure in every single part out there is different, so were the loading conditions they were subjected to and their corresponding reaction to those conditions. saying that something "always" needs resized or "never" needs resized is wrong. bottom line is that you need to check.
