Default Can I rev to 7k safely?

Dyno'd the car yesterday and it was still climbing when they shut it down each run at 6K. I'm very curious to see what the car will make if it revs up to 7K. With my current mods can I rev to that kind of rpm reliably? Or atleast 6500 for that matter. And if not what else needs to be done internally?

MS3 Cam
PRC .650 double valve springs
Titanium retainers
Hardened chromoly pushrods

Shut down at 6000 rpm, that cam hasn't even peaked yet. You should take it past 6500.

you will deff need arp rod bolts if you want to spin that high. and yes like predator said that cam likes the high rpms.

Wierd that they only took it to 6k....they know there is a cam in there right? LOL. As said tell them to go at least to 6,500...I shift at 6,700.

Did you just have it on the dyno or did they tune it also? Is your limiter raised for the cam?

I run a 6600 limit and shift at 6500. Even my smaller cam was still pulling. Had to stop due to lack o rod bolts.

There's no limiter on the car, it's already been dyno tuned months ago. I was the one who told them to stop at 6K, mostly because I was unsure and scared of what might happen. I would've loved to rev it higher, but I just wasn't sure if the internals could handle it. The shop owner wanted to rev it higher, because on the last run he reved it an extra 200rpm and the car made an extra 10hp lol

I usually shift at 6k, mostly because after 6k it sounds like a screaming banshee and that along with my "scared" mindset forces me to shut it down/shift lol.

With stock bolts I would shift it at 6500 and limiter at 6700.

Put bolts in it and add a couple hundred RPM if it is still making power up there.
