Default Which head gasket for AI 226-63cc

Looking into buying a set of AI 226 heads that have 63cc chambers and am wondering if a stock head gasket or .40 cometic gasket is the way to go. Im in CA and limited to cheap 91octane. I believe 11.1 static and 8.3 dynamic is the highest I can go with 91...

You will be close and maybe a bit over 11:1 with that setup. Personally, I think it's the way to go! I just had my TSP stage 2.5 LS6's with 64cc chambers installed with Cometic .040's.

Haha i see you got the heads from the sales section..Thats a deal for sure! You'd be better off with .040 gaskets but definitely measure measure measure!!

So after calculating the compression ratios I came up with the following using a .040 cometic gasket:

11.1:1 Static
8.4:1 Dynamic

Spoke with the guys over at Texas Speed and said I should have no issue running 91octane with that compression as long as the tune is right.

The heads are on their way to me today and will install in the next couple weeks. My goal is 470-480whp with the new heads and added compression. Previously put down 420whp and 398wtq on a dynojet.
