Default Hot cam results

Hey guys i just wanted to share my experience with the gm hot cam. I know a lot of people rag on this cam but I decided on this cam for its reliability and the amazing torque curve it has. My mods a kooks headers, catted y-pipe, loudmouth 2, and the hot cam. I have an 02 Camaro with an M6. I had it Dyno tuned yesterday and it put down 370 HP. And 370Tq. I'm 100% satisfied with this cam. The power is amazing! And it makes full torque at 2500rpm and maintains it all the way to 6000 rpm!! Drivability is like stock. All around a great cam!

Okay so it's really mild then. How does it sound? Sounds like a great street cam for sure

Yeah def a mild cam. It sounds really good. With the 112 LSA it's got some chop to it

Yeah I imagine a 112 LSA and a 228 exhaust duration give it a little pop

I had one in my 99 6spd formula back in 2000, made around 367 RWHP then, before hptuners, full bolt-on car with stock heads and LS1 intake...was a good little stick for sure!

the ramp rates are very mild , but u dont have to worry about killing your valve train .it has its purpose.

I have to check the graph again but I remember the tq hiting 370 at 2500rpm and carrying it all the way to 6000rpm. It had a Sick flat torque curve

IIRC, the stock torque peak was around 4000 rpm on the LS1, so it's probably just a tad higher than that i'm guessing

Mods in signature.

In case they are not showing: ASP pulley, Lid, LS6 intake, stock heads, LT's/X/dumps. If memory serves, that was untuned

Wow with a good set of ported heads and tune 400s would be easy .alot of people dog this cam .but what i see its a nice piece .plus u want have to buy all the expensive valve train to run it . or worry about killing your springs having to replace them at 10k miles.
