Default I am soooo lost, need advise on what I'm doing wrong.

Has anyone had any issues with the throttle by wire not responding. I am building a Factory Five GTM using an 05 L33 5.3. I am using an aftermarket harness designed for the 5.3. I have tried 2 pedals (truck and Vette), 2 harnesses (Custom and Vette), 2 TAC modules (Vette and truck). Is it possible that the pedal only responds once the engine is running? The TB is off the truck and as I said the ECU, pedal and the TAC is also off the truck. Are these pieces fairly mix and match? Need to get this figured out. The people that made the harness so far have been no help. I have been fighting this for a week, bench tested or hooked up in the car, the TB does not respond and the pedal is not doing anything.

Really need some advise.

Do a search, there is info on this site about it. The pedal, TAC, TB and ECU have to match or you will have issues. Could have a bad TB too.

Thx guys.

Just for the record I did spend about an hour searching before posting but did not find anything conclusive. Too many variables I guess, seeing this is a mix of custom, Vette and Silverado. Hopefully the Vette gas tanks/sending units will comunicate too.

Thx for the advice just the same, I will try to dig deeper.

Another tip as far as searching goes... sometime the site search can be a real pain. I'm a big believer now in google searching the site by going to google and in the search field typing in "site:ls1tech.com search query" so in your case, maybe try "site:ls1tech.com throttle by wire problems" or something of that nature. Without the quotes obviously, but yeah. I did a test and it brought up a ton of results that may or may not help. Good luck!

Let us know if that works. I have a spare harness setup I am working on and want to test it when I'm finished.
