Default Made 400rwhp with a hotcam

M6 TA, al FW, 25% UD, ls6 intake, CNC P&P 806's milled .035, 1.8 al roller tips, AR LT's to 3" true duals with single chambers. & all free mods and tune. Made 409/401 with a damn hotcam. The added lift and badass heads helped

Nice numbers, and the .555" lift is still very mild. Another factor is the slight increase in the ramp rates with using the 1.8 rockers.

Thats pretty damn cool...I was hoping it was gonna be cam only or something to boot lol. That is a hell of a combo though, why a hotcam? Because you had the rockers? This might be my favorite build (other than mine). Shows what good heads can do.

Hotcam cuz of idle and gas mileage and driveability. Its a hell of a streetcar. And the torque is AMAZING. I beat the **** out of a guy with an ms4 and 243's from a 20 roll. He still doesnt believe me that its a hotcam. I also have an electric cutout and electric water pump. OH amd im getting RIGHT at 29-31 mpg at 65mph with my 3:42's!! Not my daily either. Just a fun all around car

What springs are you using? The blue ls6 springs that come with the hot cam?

Very nice. I have always wanted to throw some AFR 205's on with a Hotcam just to see the result. Bet the torque would be awesome.

Not to hijack, but wondering if anyone makes a hotcam with modern lobes? Like Xer or Lsl lobes?

Cam Motion and or one of the shops (Futral, EPS) that uses their lobes can cut whatever you want.

Hot Cam a true LS1 designed cam or an LT-1 knockoff? I recall there was a LT-1 Hot Cam. I think it would be interesting to deconstruct the cam and build one on modern lobes and valve height. Imagine the power difference compared to the GM old tech.

These are as close as you'll get in shelf grinds.

Howard Cams has the #197245-12, which is a 219/228 112lsa with aggressive lobes and the same .525" lift as the hot cam.
I'd get a adjust timing chain/ sprocket set so you retard the cam and set the ICL to 112, if you so desire.

Compcams 219/227/ 112lsa w/lsl lobes and get an adjust timing chain/ sprocket set if you want to retard the cam and set the ICL to 112.

The lunati 222/228/113lsa would be nice choice for something fairly similar.

Great #'s. I will be running PP'd & milled 243 heads with my GM hotcam. Hopefully I will get some respectable #'s like that.

Lingenfelter also has the GT1 218/229 .561 lift on a 113, older cam, had forgotten about that one.
