Default Point me in the right direction please.

I've been lurking and reading nonstop for almost a year now. My car apparently does ok on the Picture battles, I was really looking for a Grand National or late model Camaro at the time and this gem of a car fell into my hands, after watching it for 6 months way overpriced then juicing the dealer at the end of summer for what I think is a good deal (15,500 on a '99 fully modded vette with 39,950 miles. (43,000 now)).
Besides the zip tie mod I cant find anyway practical to raise my horsepower and while Its a daily driver I'd love to get as much out of it as I can. Enjoying the community and confused why other Vette' drivers wave when I pass by. Always wave back. Sorry babbling, a 14 year old Vette that looks brand new. Just wanted to find some minor HP gains that didnt cost an arm and a leg, lucky enough the Pregnant wife is letting me keep it.
Thanks )

Oh vote for me over Butt picture in pic battles pls ! )

you say "fully modded" vette, do you mean to say "fully loaded"?

Don't think so, just the original purchaser was generous with the options.
I pulled out the Air filter and honestly, I think it was the original. Put a K&N filter in and tried to zip-tie but just not Mech-Savvy.
Supervisor is telling me to a get a tune (aftermarket computer) and go from there. Blows away his 2011 SRT Charger 0-60 but he blasts past me after that. Just having alot of fun with the car. Red interior, think only 200 made in 1999.

The K&N filter isn't doing much in the stock airbox, a cold air box with a high flow paper filter is a better choice. A tune will really help a lot and work well with a cold airbox. If you want to take the SRT8 Charger you'll need headers and an aftermarket exhaust.

So what are you asking. What mods can you do to an otherwise stock car that won't cost much?

What's your budget?

Btw - most parts specific for a Vette carry a "Vette-tax" meaning they'll cost probably twice what a similar part would cost on an F-body. Of course, Vette specific things are the intakes, exhausts, headers, car specific fuel pumps, brakes, wheels, suspension, and shifters.

Almost everything else that'll work on an F-body/LS1 will work on a Vette.

Thanks appreciate the input )
Budgets only around 1000$ for now, maybe when things get settled after the baby that goes up. Was just wondering mostly if there was something obvious I was missing.
Thanks again, having a blast with this this car

Hmmm, very tight budget.
IMO, put that $$ in a separate account and save till you get enough to make a difference. Educate yourself so you do not fall into the abyss by believing gimmicks that will "add" horsepower.
If you can't wait start with a catback (I'm partial to Borla), you'll get a few horses and the car will sound much much better.

Will the car need to be able to pass visual, or tail pipe emission test?
A higher stall Torque Converter would make for a nice performance increase!
You could also replace the factory mufflers with a pair of magnaflow#14210 mufflers for about $264 excluding shipping.

A performance tune, cold airbox and free flowing mufflers will give you the best bang for the buck.
